Patrick Duler's passion : La Truffe Noire du Périgord (the Black Périgord Truffle), the mysterious, the succulent Tuber Mélanosporum. Accompanied by his dog Athos, a sandy-coloured lagotto, he tends to and assists nature in her work, as magical as it is uncertain.
Every day, we work the earth, we question nature, we talk to the trees. In the end we learn that nothing can be forced, that the black diamond rewards only patience and humility. The ultimate quest, to penetrate the secrets of this bewitching species: to understand the earth which bears it and the trees which help bring it forth...
