Sain & Doux Organic Lavender Lip Balm

The problem

Wind, cold, heating.

In a few days, it feels tight.
Lips become chapped.
It burns.

The reality is clear

You take out your lip balm. You apply a layer. It feels better... for ten minutes.

So you apply it again as soon as you go out. In the office. In the car. At the table.

Eventually, the tube ends up in your pocket. You apply it 'as soon as you need it'.

Until the gesture becomes automatic.

But your lips remain painful.

What really happens

It is unfortunate, but there is an explanation...)

Many lip balms only hydrate the surface. Certain formulas create a dependency: the more you apply, the more you need.

The problem is not you

Today, we are faced with so many industrial products...
Lip balms that only hydrate the surface. Certain formulas lead to a dependency: the more you apply, the more you need.

Why choose the combination of lavender and beeswax?

Of course, you already know that lips need hydration.
But do you know the real reason why it never lasts?

I am a chef and farmer, and I start with the raw material.

  • A nourishing fat: lard, to support deep hydration.
  • A protective wax: beeswax, to preserve the skin's natural barrier.
  • Organic lavender from the Domaine: distilled on-site, soothing and effective.

Yet there is often a world of difference between knowing what to do and actually achieving it.

Everything changes with the balance between these three elements. Instead of a mere stack of ingredients, we have crafted a formula so that your lips can regain their natural autonomy.

Synergetic benefits for repaired and protected lips

In practice:

Lips become softer.
Chapping is soothed.
Tightness is relieved.

Even better: you apply less. You think about it less.
The jar no longer needs to be within reach at all times.

A small amount is enough

I can assure you: there is no need to apply layer upon layer.

The balm is designed to be effective in a thin layer. Only a small amount is needed.

One jar lasts more than a month for a family of four with daily use.

(Yes, even if your young children try to use it. I speak from experience).

What is inside

  • Lard (Adeps Suillus):
This is the nourishing base that provides structure and protection.
And it is all the more nourishing as the lard comes from Gascon pigs raised in agroforestry.
  • Beeswax (Cera Alba):
It forms a discreet film that limits dehydration.
It helps withstand wind and cold.
  • Lavender essential oil (Lavandula Angustifolia Oil including Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool):
Lavender from the estate, grown on our limestone soils, amidst the truffle orchards.
    Hand-cut. Flower tops only.
    Distilled in small batches.
Result: a useful and soothing lavender (not merely scented).
  • Sunflower oil, glycerin, vitamin E (Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Glycerin, Tocopherol.):
They provide suppleness, stabilise the texture, and keep the balm consistent.

Without chemical additives, mastery is required

However, a word of caution is necessary:

Without 'convenience' additives, the formula is unforgiving.
If it is not perfectly balanced, the fatty phase separates: the jar 'sweats', the surface becomes irregular, and the texture varies.

Industry avoids this with technical aids: texturisers, stabilisers, standardised waxes and bases, and preservatives (such as Petrolatum, Parabens, Dimethicone (silicone), BHT / BHA).

We avoid this through other means: through the balance of lard and wax, and precise craftsmanship during production.

Mastering all of this has taken me years. It cannot be improvised.

Five benefits

  • Provides deep, long-lasting hydration.
  • Protects against cold, wind, and dryness.
  • Soothes dry and chapped lips.
  • Pocket-sized, a simple gesture.
  • Prolonged use.

How to use it

Take a small amount on your finger.
Apply a thin layer to clean, dry lips.

In the morning, and in the evening if necessary.

Avoid licking your lips, even if it may be tempting given the lavender and the slightly sweet beeswax.

Testimonials

My dear Patrick,
I used your lip balm (pork fat) to treat a severe burn on my hand.
Result: in a short time, there was no trace left.
Thank you for the quality of your products.

These are just two examples to illustrate. But of course, there have been many others over the years.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why this price?

Naturally, such a product has a cost.
A balm without chemical additives requires a specific formula and mastered production.
Otherwise, the texture varies, the fatty phase separates, and the product loses its integrity.
Here, the structure and effectiveness come from craftsmanship, not from a stack of chemical ingredients.

Why are quantities limited?

At the Domaine, the lavender is grown, hand-cut, and distilled in small batches.

This pace is not suited to industrial production.
And that is as it should be; it is part of the vision.

How to use it?

Simply by applying a thin layer as needed, whenever it is windy or the air is dry.

Avoid licking your lips. Even if the temptation is real.

How to store it?

After use, close the jar securely.
Store it away from heat and direct sunlight.

It keeps perfectly well in a pocket, a bag or a bathroom.
